The basic functions of any bank are accepting deposits and lending or invest the same. Thus Deposits are main source of funds for the smooth functions of Bank. Kabul Bank is also introduced various types of Deposits schemes. As per the nature of deposit schemes it can be segregated in two parts viz. Demand Deposits and Time Deposits. The Demand deposits consist the Current Deposits and Savings Deposits where as Time deposit consists Fixed Deposits. Kabul Bank has laid down the procedure duly approved by Da Afghanistan Bank with the concepts of Know You Customers (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML). The common requirements to open any account are as under:

Details of other bank accounts and credit facility if any

Source of income and Annual income

Income tax Personal Account Number (PAN) card details

Family details

Descriptions of assets like House and Vehicle.
While opening the accounts the above details are taken along with the following documents:

Address proof by taking taskara

Identification proof like passport, voter identity card, identity cards issued by employer

Introduction of existing account holder.
The schemes introduced by Kabul Bank are Current Deposits and Savings Bank Deposits schemes as a part of Demand Deposits and Fixed Deposit scheme as a part of Time Deposits. These accounts can be opened in USD, AFN, EUR and PAK Rupees.
